History of the Master’s Program

The Master’s Program at Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov was established based on the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 503/1 dated April 19, 2021, and a license with registration number No. D 2019-0003.

In the 2021–2022 academic year, the master’s department was headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor S.K. Zhusueva. From 2022 to 2024, the department was led by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor N.Zh. Uraimov. Since September 24, 2024, the department has been headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nazira Duishebaevna Tilekova.

Licensing was obtained for 10 specializations, and in 2021, 148 students were admitted to the master’s program across all specializations. Eight departments provide support for awarding the master’s degree. In 2023, the first graduates successfully completed their studies and were awarded master’s degrees.

Seven master’s programs successfully passed accreditation by the independent agency AAOPO on February 2, 2023, with an additional program accredited on December 4, 2023.

In 2024, the master’s program received licenses for part-time study across 10 specializations.

Currently, 696 students are enrolled in the master’s program, including 508 in full-time study and 188 in part-time study.

(The master’s program operates in accordance with the regulations approved by the Academic Council of the university.)

Master’s students engage in research activities throughout the entire educational process under the guidance of their academic supervisors. They regularly submit progress reports and complete their studies by defending a master’s thesis.
